Todays training records only document course completions. For example the EHRI only accepts/represents course completions. There is no ability to provide learning activities in including: Mobile access, Virtual Worlds, Games, Simulations, Performance Support, Intelligent Tutoring Systems, and HR Systems. Yet people use training as a just-in-time reference, learn from games, and practice complex interactions in simulations.
USALearning is developing a government-wide centralized USALearning Record Store to provide real-time tracking and recording of all learning activities. Using the ADL-CoLab xAPI will enable the USALRS to record all user activities to include mobile access, virtual worlds, games, simulations, performance support, intelligent tutoring systems, and team-based participation. With proper authorization the USALearning Record Store will enable agency administrator/CLOs to access real-time activities and data agency-wide. And, the USALearning Record Store will provide access to individual career management account and enable each user to access their transcript, completion certificates and certifications, accreditations, 360 degree assessments, digital badges, mobile access, virtual worlds, games, simulations, performance support, intelligent tutoring systems, and HR systems.
