BrandonHall Excellence Award
The OPM Knowledge Portal Program Office just received two of the 2012 BrandonHall Excellence Awards for their Role-Based IT Security on-line course. The Knowledge Portal course won Gold for Best in Compliance Training category and Silver for Best Use of Virtual Worlds for Learning. The Role-Based IT Security course library received this award for the innovative use of 3-D animation, virtual worlds, realistic simulations and on-the-job exercises to teach, practice and reinforce instructional content. The BrandonHall Group Excellence Awards Program is the training industry’s counterpart to the movie industry Academy Awards. The BrandonHall award is in its 18th year and is considered one of the most prestigious awards program in the multimedia industry. The Knowledge Portal Recognized as a Top 100 Learning Organization
The Learning! 100 Award recognizes 60 corporate and 40 public sector organizations for outstanding learning culture, innovation or collaboration that drives performance. The Knowledge Portal was recognized and received Excellence award in the area of Collaboration. Learning! 100 applicants were evaluated across three criteria: Best-in-Class Learning & Development assessment, Learning Culture index, and overall organizational performance. Each submission received a rating for each section and scores were totaled to identify the top 100. The organizations’ Learning! 100 ranking was determined by overall performance and the impact of their learning leadership.
