History
USALearning (previously GoLearn) was commissioned as an e-Gov initiative by the White House in 2004. OMB designated OPM as the executive agent for implementation of the GoLearn program. Renamed to USALearning, the agency continues to operate as the only Shared Services Center (SSC) within OPM with the singular focus of e-Learning dedicated to providing partner agencies one-stop access to integrated education and training ecosystems and learning products and services in support of agency learning requirements.
Mission
USALearning is a service provider by-government and for-government that supports employee skills enhancement, retention, certifications, and credentialing in the development of the Federal and DoD workforce. Integrated optimal solutions from USALearning are configured to support agency requirements through the development and delivery of uniquely configured cloud-based learning ecosystems. The agency is primarily focused on assisting the federal workforce, DoD, and State and Local municipalities to effectively and efficiently achieve agency missions.
Products and Services
USALearning offers highly adaptive solutions that go beyond a single LMS solution or capability through integrator through current programs. The agency offers choices of commercial, open-source solutions that have Government security controls built-in, monitoring by Government, and industry cyber specialists. USALearning is able to provide cost efficient, state-of-the-art learning systems and solutions to all agencies with these adaptive solutions, which can be grouped into two product lines, Learning Ecosystem Support and Training Design, Development, and Support.
